Natal Space Announces Feature Documentary UNSELECTED, Now in Pre-Production
NEW YORK / LONDON, July 2026. Natal Space, the independent film company founded by screenwriter and producer Isaiah Carter, announced today that its feature documentary UNSELECTED has entered pre-production, with Carter attached to direct.
UNSELECTED centers the African diaspora in the global debate over gene editing and heritable genome modification, tracing a line from medicine's exploitative past to the emerging industry of genetic selection today, and asking who is in the room when the future of human reproduction is decided.
The film marks Carter's feature directorial debut. His feature script AFTER US was named a Semi-Finalist for Best Short Script at Indie Short Fest 2026, and his produced credits include the short films BORROWED TIME and KINFOLK.
UNSELECTED is currently in development and pre-production, with a planned runtime of approximately 100 minutes.

Natal Space Develops Historical Drama NO MAN'S COUNTRY for the Stage, Reading Coming Soon
NEW YORK / LONDON, July 2026. Natal Space announced today that NO MAN'S COUNTRY, a historical drama written by founder Isaiah Carter, is in development as a stage adaptation, with a public reading planned in New York.
NO MAN'S COUNTRY follows the men of the 369th Infantry Regiment through World War I, soldiers who fought for a country that refused to claim them. Originally written as a feature screenplay, the story is now being developed for the stage in collaboration with New York theater producers, following a successful virtual table read.
Details of the public reading, including date and venue, will be announced.
